Pharmacy

The pharmacy department in St. Patrick's Hospital as well as dispensing medication to the wards, provides medication to out-patients and day patients.

Pharmacists attend team meetings and provide input on programmes in the hospital. Pharmacists are available to provide an information service to doctors, other health professionals and patients regarding their medications.

The Pharmacy department is open to the public at the following times 

8.30am - 9.30am and from 2pm to 5pm daily (Monday to Friday)

The Drug Payment Scheme can be facilitated through the hospital pharmacy. Other community drug schemes, e.g. prescriptions dispensed through the medical card, can only be availed of through community pharmacies.
