Sexual Health

2020欧洲杯体育直播投注not all college students are sexually active. however, if you are, here are a couple things you should know to stay safe and healthy.

On this page:

Practicing Safer Sex During COVID-19

social distancing and mask-wearing are great ways to reduce the spread of covid-19, but if you are choosing to be sexually active during this time, keep yourself and your partner safer by using the following strategies:

  • You are your safest sexual partner.
  • Consider only having sex with a partner you already live with, and only if you've both felt well in the last 2 weeks, and neither of you has tested positive for COVID-19, or been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or are in quarantine for the best 2 weeks.
  • Use social distancing to get creative - use video chats, sexting, or phone sex.
  • Kissing and oral-anal contact put you at increased risk for COVID-19 infection. Vaginal intercourse does not appear to transmit COVID-19 infection.
  • Wash your hands before and after sex.
  • Monitor yourself for symptoms. If you aren't feeling well, get a test. Check the Erie County Department of Health for testing locations.
  • Use barrier methods like condoms and dental dams to prevent the spread of HIV and other STIs.
